Notes from my pen keyboard...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

As you all have perhaps noticed, I took a break on story-writing for Christmas.  I had to.  You wouldn’t have been pleased with a story installment yanked from the madness of trying to finish Christmas quilts and bathrobes.  I was up to my ears in fabric scraps and threads and stray pins.

But I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, I hope you have safe plans for New Year’s, and I’ll have the next installment for you in a few days, as well.  And this one will jump to Gabe!

Congratulations go to…

I have assigned a number to all of the correct entries… then used a random number generator to chose a number from among them… and congratulations go to…

Janice!

(from zip code 93637)

Janice, your $25 Borders gift card is waiting!  Simply send me an email at:

winner@kathleenmaciver.com

Make sure you email from the email address that you entered. I’ll be in contact with you within a couple of hours (or minutes, depending on whether I’m here in front of the computer, or off doing errands *grins*). We’ll arrange delivery of your prize!

Everyone else… thank you so much for participating! If any of you have purchased the book, I’d be really interested to know how you liked it (and my story in particular, of course).  I did receive another really fantastic review the other day, from the Pen and Muse. This reviewer focused on only two stories, one of which was mine.  She said, in part:

“This story is surely to find a spot in your heart. I know it found one in mine. Kathleen’s work is one to continue to look out for.”

That makes me smile, too.

Anyway… thank you all again for participating, and please participate in my free online story as well!  I posted the next installment yesterday, and I think everyone was too busy entering the contest to comment.  Please do! It’s much more fun when I have feedback!

Release Day! And the contest begins…

One Touch, One Glance is released, and the contest has begun! For your free entry, you’ll need to read 12 short excerpts from the stories and answer 12 simple questions, sometime within the next week. If you’re buying the book, then guess what? You can get three bonus entries!

dirtygirlreviews.blogspot.com said: “This anthology really touched my heart, which is why I am giving it a four star rating. It was an above average read, focusing on the emotion and romance not the physical side of love. So it was very satisfying to read. Not only do I recommend you buy this for yourself, but also for your loved ones. It’s a romance book that won’t make you blush when you hand it to your mother-in-law. The book is sure to leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside after you are through reading.”  (Again, there are individual reviews, and I have to admit that, as an author, there isn’t much more satisfying than reading, “I loved this story.” ::smiles::)

Dark Divas said, “This book is full of great stories. I flew through it, laughed, teared up a few times, and generally, had a great time delving into each world, meeting each new couple, and sharing their journeys. There are so many wonderful stories; I had to give them each a little bit individual attention. This is a terrific compilation of sweet, honest romance like I haven’t encountered in a long time.” (If you want to read the individual reviews, click here and scroll down to the second listing.)

Coctail Reviews gave us a whole bottle of champagne!  (That means 5 glasses wasn’t enough.)  If you’d like to read the individual reviews, they are here.
